The Exercise Clinic, situated in Crows Nest, offers some of Australia’s most modern Exercise Physiology practices. Working with General Practitioners, Medical Specialists and the major hospitals(Incl. The Mater, RNS,Liverpool and Manly Hospitals), The Exercise Clinic provides Chronic Disease Management services in a clinical setting, providing a safe, and non intimidating environment for patients post cardiac, stent, orthopedic or other surgery and exercise therapy programs for those who suffer osteoporosis, diabetes, sarcopenia, obesity, increased cardiac risk markers etc.
A major focus of the Exercise Physiology services that we deliver is to focus on delivering the most advanced evidence-based exercise therapy available. The Exercise Clinic approach to Chronic Disease Management is fundamentally holistic combining safe, proven and medically sound techniques and procedures using a programme of individualised outcomes to ensure members attain their health and lifestyle goals.
We specialise in working collaboratively with Medical Practitioners for physical activity, nutrition and musculoskeletal management for chronic conditions.
All of our staff are highly experienced and work in an integrative environment to encourage sustained physiological and quality of life outcomes for patients and members and improved efficiency of care.
Our approach to Chronic Disease Management is unique because we;
· Develop working relationships with referring GP's and provide clear and concise two-way information sharing.
· Provide an integrative team-based learning environment including informative workshops, activity sessions and relationship building to educate and motivate patients
· Have a strong focus on self management
· Deliver practical advice and support with a focus on transitioning patients into sustainable home and facility based activities
